PHILADELPHIA -- The American Academy of Family Physicians hopes to hear more about the changing environment for healthcare and physician payment reform as the Democratic National Convention winds down, according to Robert Wergin, MD, the academy's board chair and past president.
The academy wants to develop an ongoing relationship with policymakers and arrive at solutions that will help patients be well cared for under a new payment system, Wergin told MedPage Today in a video interview Wednesday.
